This course is ideal for beauty therapists, retail assistants and make-up freelancers who work in beauty salons, make-up studios and photography shoot settings requiring make-up services, retail cosmetic outlets and settings that provide make-up servicesis. ideal for aspiring makeup artists and professionals who want to perfect their craft and learn how to create makeup looks that stand out both in person and on camera. In these units you will gain the skills and knowledge required to apply make-up products for day, evening, special occasions and photography.

    Learn the essentials of makeup artistry, including skin preparation, color theory, and product application techniques. Whether you’re creating everyday looks or more dramatic styles, this course covers it all.
  • Advanced Application Techniques
    Explore advanced techniques for contouring, highlighting, and eye makeup. Gain the skills needed to design and apply makeup that enhances natural beauty and meets client expectations.
  • Photography Makeup
    Delve into the specialized skills required for photography makeup. Learn how to design and apply makeup that looks flawless under various lighting conditions and in high-definition photography.
  • Customization for Clients
    Understand how to customize makeup looks to suit different face shapes, skin tones, and personal styles. This course teaches you how to create personalized makeup designs that reflect each client's unique beauty.
  • Product Knowledge
    Get familiar with the products and tools that are essential for professional makeup artistry, including those specifically suited for photography.
  • On-Set Techniques
    Gain insights into working on set, including how to collaborate with photographers, models, and stylists to achieve the perfect look for photoshoots. You will gain the ability to consult with clients, analyse face and skin and to demonstrate and apply make-up products to suit clients’ needs or make-up brief, as well as specialised make-up products and application techniques.

  • Students have the option to purchase the Klara Cosmetics Make-Up Kit for $350.00 (inc. GST)
  • Models will be required on allocated assessment dates
  • Statement of Attainment will be provided on successful completion of units of competency.
